Time does not heal everything.
Sometimes it is not Time that heals us, but something else that changes within it.
We took Action. We let something go. We repeated the same Path, or moved in another Direction for the first time.
Sometimes we did none of these.
But Time passed anyway.
Time is a merciless variable. We cannot intervene in Time itself. We cannot stop it. We cannot turn it back. We cannot make it wait for us.
The place where we can intervene is not Time itself, but what we do within it.
One person can remain in the same place for years. Another can experience something in a very short time that affects the rest of their life.
Time and Repetition are siblings, but they are not the same thing.
Repetition needs Time in order to occur. But the passage of Time does not mean that the same thing must repeat.
An event can happen only once and retain its place in the life that follows. Another Path can remain active for years.
Time is present in both.
What differs is what is at work within Time.
Doing nothing does not place you outside Time. If the same conditions, the same Actions, and the same Paths continue, it is not only the days that pass. That structure continues too.
Time chooses no Direction. Construction takes place within it. So does Destruction.
Time cannot be read only through the question, “How much Time has passed?” What matters is what has been at work within that Time.
This matters because what an experience becomes within Architecture takes shape through Time.
