Something happens.
You hear a remark, lose someone, receive unexpected news, encounter a new possibility, or one of the conditions you have lived within for years changes.
At that moment, what happened is not the only thing present. You are there too. And not only as you are that day, but with everything you have carried to that point.
What you were born with, what you have lived through, what you have learned, the current state of your Body, the conditions you live within, the Paths you have taken before, and the traces all of these have left in you over Time form a structure together. I call the current state of this structure Architecture.
When a new event occurs, it does not fall into empty space. It meets an Architecture that has already formed.
This is why two events that look very similar from the outside do not have to unfold in the same way within. Something one person carries easily can be very heavy for another. Something that unsettled you yesterday may not touch the same place today. You may see today an option you could not see years ago, or be able to carry in another period something you cannot carry today.
Even if the event appears unchanged, the structure meeting it has changed.
I am not erasing the reality of what happened.
A loss is truly a loss. A blow really does land on the Body. If someone has wronged you, we cannot reduce it to something taking place only within you by saying, “That is simply how you understood it.” What happened outside has its own reality.
But we cannot see where the Path will lead by looking only at the event outside. The event first meets the Architecture within. It registers there; sometimes it opens an old Path, and sometimes it becomes the beginning of something that did not exist before.
This is why I do not ask only:
“What happened?”
I also try to understand:
“Which Architecture did this event meet, and how did it register within that Architecture?”
The visible outcome carries not only what happened, but also the Path that the event and the structure meeting it formed together.
And no Path truly begins in isolation.
